MY APPROACH

I aim to provide, to the best of my ability, a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental space where personal and relational issues can be explored. My role is to help you gain deeper awareness and perspective around your situation, identify what may be blocking your progress, and support you through the process of change.

I do not offer advice, as therapy is not about telling you what to do. Instead, I work alongside you to help you better understand yourself and your experiences. At times, I may ask questions—this is to clarify any misunderstandings, or to gain a clearer picture of your difficulty.

We will have regular reviews, giving us both a chance to assess progress and consider further sessions, if needed.  There is no obligation to attend all the sessions arranged (subject to cancellation fees), and you are free to leave a session at any time.

Counselling with me will give you:

-A supportive space to talk through issues—past or present—and explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours in a neutral, non-judgmental environment.
-A chance to gain new perspectives and understanding around current or past experiences.
-Time to reflect on how past events may be influencing your life today.
-An opportunity to identify and explore unhelpful patterns that may have repeated throughout your life, and consider how you might want to make changes.

Counselling with me may be able to help you express difficult feelings relating to a range of issues, such as:

Depression, anxiety, eating disorders, self-harm, bereavement, emotional dysregulation, anger issues, gender identity issues, sexuality, abuse (current and historical), trauma, suicidal ideation, domestic abuse, and much more.

I have worked with and welcome clients who are:

-aged 14+ through to adults

-neurodivergent clients

-clients from the LGBTQIA+ community
